Why A Podcast?

Why a podcast? Well that is a great question. I think we should start with my music is important. In searching for my own words, I came across a very good post with "Save The Music Foundation". To quote the website it states “At the core of our everyday experience with music, we use it to relax, express ourselves, come to terms with our emotions, and generally improve our well-being. It has evolved into a tool for healing and self-expression, often dictating how we, as individuals, take steps to impact society.” Now I don’t know about ya’ll but that is some heavy shit.

Music is a part of all of our lives. It is a way for us a species to express all aspects of our lives. Through music we connect to each other, to that individual who may be sharing something in their lives that resonants with each one of us. So if you look at “why a podcast?” I would say “why not?”. Brining different views and hopefully exposing others to old or newer bands and albums gives someone the ability to connect without influence by other forms of media or A&R firms.

Adam and I have known each other for over 20 years. Over those decades we have seen band after band, discussed album after album and how that artist made an impact in our lives. We both felt that sharing that experience and having that transparent discussion would allow our listeners to gain a different perspective of the album. Fair warning, our opinions are different and we are not going to see eye to eye. That is what is going to make this very interesting.

So what is coming your way? Album reviews are going to bed the core of the podcast, but there will be concert discussions, general topics about music and of course something we like to call “The Top 5”. Top 5 songs/albums for certain scenarios. I mean who wouldn’t want to talk about the top 5 songs that you played through the radio of your first car. We certainly hope you have a great experience and get ready for great things to come.

Till next time……Karma In = Karma Out
